Why create an account
Voting does not require one: the daily voice works without giving us anything, and that is how it should be. An account does four things, and only those four.
- Keep your streak. Without an account, your run of consecutive days lives in this browser: it disappears if you change phone or clear your data. With an account, it follows you.
- Appear in the voter rankings. The weekly and monthly tops only list registered voters. Without an account your voices still count towards the scores, but no name can be shown next to them — a ranking of anonymous devices rewards nobody.
- Propose a match. The right unlocks after a seven-day streak or around twenty voices cast — it rewards the people who keep the site alive.
- Get extra voices. That needs a wallet, and the wallet belongs to the account, not to the device.
No password
We do not ask for one. You get a single-use link, valid for thirty minutes, and you are signed in. One more password means one more password reused elsewhere, forgotten, then reset — for a site whose purpose is settling an argument about bread, that makes no sense.
We ask for nothing beyond the address: no name, no date of birth, no phone number. It is used to sign you in and to write to you about purchases. It is not sold, shared or used for marketing.
